Kim Mayhall Retirement Announcement

After 38 years serving the legal community and 13 years as a founding partner at Mayhall Fondren Blaize, Kim Mayhall has announced that he will begin a well-deserved retirement.

Dear friends and colleagues:

After 38 years serving the legal community and 13 years as a founding partner at Mayhall Fondren Blaize, Kim Mayhall has announced that he will begin a well-deserved retirement. Beginning May 1, 2019, Kim will no longer be active full-time at Mayhall Fondren Blaize, but he will remain in an advisory role as “Of Counsel” for the firm in order to ensure a smooth transition for clients.

Kim has an extensive background in all areas of oil and gas transactional practice including, but not limited to, drafting and negotiation of mineral leases, farmout agreements, joint operating agreements, participation agreements, seismic development agreements, road rights-of-way, pipeline rights-of-way, surface use agreements, and all manner of other agreements pertinent to the oil and gas business in the State of Louisiana.

It is never easy to bid farewell to a founding partner of the firm, and we will miss working with Kim on a daily basis. Those of us who know Kim well are confident that he will not in fact retire, but rather shift his focus and many talents to pursue his passions: fishing and traveling. Kim has imparted to his remaining partners not only his extensive knowledge of the law, but also his enthusiasm for providing guidance to the firm’s clients. The firm wishes Kim well in all his future endeavors and would like to congratulate him on a full and successful career.
