FRED C. FONDREN is a founding partner in the firm of Fondren Blaize, in the Houma office. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18, 1970. Fred grew up in Houma, Louisiana, and graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School in 1988. He is a graduate of Nicholls State University (B.S., Finance 1992) and Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University (J.D., 1995). Fred obtained his L.L.M. in International Tax and Offshore Finance from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida in 2003. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1995. Fred is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit. Following his graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk for Honorable John R. Walker, District Judge, 32nd Judicial District Court, Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.

Fred represents major insurance companies, as well as large and small businesses in both litigation and transactional matters. In addition to his insurance litigation practice, he represents oil and gas operators, service companies, and pipeline companies.
